Chronic Sinusitis and Nasal Polyps

Chronic sinus issues can have many causes, including allergies. Patients who struggle with chronic sinus issues should undergo evaluation and testing for allergies, as treatment of the underlying allergies (i.e., allergy shots).

Chronic sinus infections are sometimes associated with nasal polyps. Nasal polyps can be a frustrating condition and caused by inflammation. They can sometimes be associated with asthma and sensitivity to aspirin and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications.  While nasal polyps were historically a condition treated only by sinus surgery, new interventions are now available, including an injected medication called Dupixent that has shown excellent results in patients with nasal polyps, with or without sinus surgery. We offer the following procedures and treatments:

  • Comprehensive evaluation for causes of chronic sinus infections and nasal polyps to determine the best treatment options.

  • Allergy skin testing and allergen immunotherapy

  • Dupilimab treatment

  • Aspirin desensitization
